Well said, @palikari123. Thanks for the interaction on this post. It took about ten hours for me to write and a hot second for smooth to downvote it. I don't know much about Tarazkp, other than he writes well and clearly, but I one-hundred-percent disagree with his whole notion of don't fight (the downvotes), just let it happen. It's a massive turn-off to the platform.

Hopefully, someone will revolutionize the things and stuff to make people feel like they want to stay. I dig bashadows idea about taking it out of curation rewards. Let the whales fight the other whales, and (in my best Chris Crocker voice) "leave the minnows alone!" They'll learn at some point when some other platform gets it right, and they get forced to bite their style to survive.

Course by that time, they'll lose the first movers' advantage as if the steem/hive split didn't cause enough damage on its own. Not that-that was avoidable per se, just generally overall, shit is shitty. I'm far less worried about this HIVE stuff right now than I am with things on the world stage. Somebody has to put the breaks on this COVID-19 nonsense before there's nothing left to salvage.

And for any jokers who think that "I'm just in it for the rewards," I haven't taken a dime of hive to the market. But after today's events, I'm certainly not engendered to power it up either. Fuck it. It'll be what it is and remain what it isn't until someone unborks it.
