There's a sociopath on youtube who gives lectures on how to deal with his type. I'm not sure how closely related the two are, but, if I recall correctly, psychopaths and sociopaths have similar traits. The guy's name is Prof Sam Vaknin. Unfortunately, one of his techniques is to treat the behavior in kind, except to do so at an intense magnitude. The tactic allows their ego to feed off the negative energy, and it also gives them a quick moment to self-reflect. I suppose something like that could prove dangerous if used on a violent psychopath.
