So many people are coming back and topping themselves. I think what they do is program soldiers to kill unflinchingly and to suppress their feelings. From the outside looking in; it might appear that they don't have emotions, that the soldiers are hardened warriors, and they are to a degree. However, when they get back to the real world of life and living; unless they were psychopathic from the start, their conscience starts to reemerge and haunts them. I think the key for these folks is to accept what they've done, forgive themselves, and to move forward. And maybe they do this by warning others not to fall in the same trap they did. In the end, we're all our own harshest critic and ultimately have to live with what we do or fail to do.
