Oh my gosh, 4!! Did you use paper ones? Last year with my Christmas bakings, I had this plastic "tool" where I could screw these tips on. It seemed ideal but it wasn't at all. Therefore I bought this piping bag, I almost bought these thin 1 time use bags, until I saw they had this one. It seems quite firm and easy to clean.
