Hello Steemit friends!
How are you all?
How was your week?
Unfortunately, I was sick and in bed rest for 3 days due to my Vertigo. I was dignosed with BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) years back and almost always confined in the hospital for such sickness. Everything just keeps on spinning around you. You feel nauseous that you keep wanting to throw up or you already did. Lying down also makes you dizzy so if you want to sleep, rest or relax better lean back. You
also have to be careful walking around as your surrounding keeps on spinning and so you won't trip over.
Vertigo is a medical condition where a person feels as if they or the objects around them are moving when they are not. Often it feels like a spinning or swaying movement. This may be associated with nausea, vomiting, sweating, or difficulties walking. It is typically worsened when the head is moved. Vertigo is the most
common type of dizziness.
Vertigo is often caused by an inner ear problem. Some of the most common causes include:

BPPV. These initials stand for benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. BPPV occurs when tiny calcium particles (canaliths) clump up in canals of the inner ear. The inner ear sends signals to the brain about head and body movements relative to gravity. It helps you keep your balance.BPPV can occur for no known reason and may be associated with age.
Meniere's disease. This is an inner ear disorder thought to be caused by a buildup of fluid and changing pressure in the ear. It can cause episodes of vertigo along with ringing in the ears (tinnitus) and hearing loss.
Vestibular neuritis or labyrinthitis. This is an inner ear problem usually related to infection (usually viral). The infection causes inflammation in the inner ear around nerves that are important for helping the body sense balance
And Yes, I was diagnosed with BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) years ago and
it is a recurring sickness that just triggers right there. I couldn't try to do some remedies since I'm just so consumed with the dizziness I'm feeling. What's worse, migraine tags along. So I end up at the hospital given medications and confined.
Yet, if you prefer to not resort to medicines right then, there are some home remedies for such:
Epley maneuver
-sitting on the edge of a bed and turning the head 45 degrees to the left
-lying down quickly and facing head up on the bed at a 45-degree angle
-maintaining the position for 30 minutes
-turning the head halfway — 90 degrees — to the right without raising it for 30 seconds
-turning the head and entire body to the right side, looking downward for 30 seconds
-slowly sitting up but remaining sitting for at least a few minutes
Ginkgo biloba
Ginger tea
Almonds
Staying hydrated
Apple cider and honey
Essential oils
Acupressure

It is a bit hard having a vertigo. You can't just easily move even to just tilt your head because it would really cause dizziness when you do it in a bit of a fast motion or in an "all of a sudden" way. You need to do things in a careful or slow way so as not to trigger intense dizziness and spinning of surroundings.
So everybody be well.
Have a great day Steemit friends!
