U n w i n d.

I had a hectic week so I decided to go somewhere
some place that I could just unwind
from all the madness the days and I had shared.

Off I went unknown as to where I will go
let me think,
where I will head to.

The driver and fellow passengers are certain
as to where they should be going
unlike me, still confused of what I was doing.

All I know is I need to breathe
a break from crazy
that is all I can take.

I blurted halt
so the driver instantly stepped on the brakes hard
at last, stopped
after the long ride.

Where I was looked familiar
the smell of fresh and salty air
I could feel now my messy hair.

There it is, a relaxing view
I put down my bag, arranged a mat
then I sat down with a cigarette or two.

I felt calmer now and relaxed
thinking about earlier how I search
in my mind as to where I will head to
in the end, as always it is with the beach
that I would reach.
