Hello friends!
Today is going to be a short and simple post to update y'all about a few things, but primarily PIZZA POWER-UP DAY!
Alright, to kick off the the day, I was around 2400 PIZZA staked. I had already prepared well in advance to hit my goal (as mentioned in the previous PPUD post from last month) of 3k PIZZA by leveraging some of my liquidity in other 2nd layer tokens and SWAP.HIVE to purchase ~600 PIZZA over the course of a month. Again, I had to exercise an extreme amount of self-restraint, holding off that sweet power-up until today, BUT I MANAGED TO PULL IT OFF! The second I received a notification from the Pizza Guild Discord that PPUD had started, I immediately went to my wallet and SMASHED that stake button so hard I might need a new mouse...
Read it and weep, folks. I'm officially part of the 3k club now!
I think I'm going to set my goal a little less lofty for the next PPUD, mostly because I'm wanting to build my HBD savings back up a bit more, having almost emptied it to buy the dip and purchase 
On a more personal note, much like I mentioned in last months post, life has been CRAZY. The whole month of July was one consistent shit-fest from start to finish. Both cars went down - with one of them ending up totaled at the end of it - and my family was nearly stranded in Oklahoma TWICE. Add to that the craziness of trying to ensure that everything I need to finish out my counseling residency is in order to receive my fully licensure in the next month or so, and the ramifications that has for my current work arrangement... yeah, it's been a very fully month. SO, as you might imagine, I haven't written an update for The Hunter's Instinct for QUITE a while... let alone really anything beyond the previous commitments I made such as the S&S Monthly Invitational that I'm in charge of hosting.
I've been trying to stay more religiously involved in the Zapfic competitions in the hopes that I can build my creative momentum back up with something a little less intensive to get myself back into the swing of things, so def make sure to check those out; however, because of that, I am hoping to release another chapter in the next few weeks! Keep your eyes peeled for it to drop! We're nearing the end of the second-person serialized novella, I think, going to use it as a prequel series that I can build a larger novel from that will be released in a similar format - just without the choose-your-own-adventure element to it.
