Why cant you take the installation with if you move property? cost of the company uninstalling and reinstalling?

I the school I work at has huge amounts of solar on the buildings, Phase 1 of the installation generated 1453kw - phase 2 included a new sports complex with solar on top - not sure what that added to the total but the downside is, their current setup has now way to sell back to the grid - useful on weekends and school holidays and doesn't have batteries to store energy for those cloudy days.
