The component I want to suggest here is for the schematic drawing of fritzing beta become in-line with schematic drawing standards.
Fritzing beta has many functions that include PCB layout, Arduino Interface, Breadboard prototype and schematic drawing. In schematic drawing, it is where we create our circuit connection. It is our basis of our connection of components in breadboard prototyping and PCB layout. It is also we use as a guide when troubleshooting problem.
What I have found that need to improve is the wiring of component. In the current situation of fritzing beta, we can draw a wire in different orientation which is wrong and don’t follow international standards. What I mean in different orientation is drawing in slant line, horizontal line, vertical line. In the standards of drawing schematic, wiring must only be represented with horizontal and vertical lines.
Proposal
What I am proposing in fritzing schematic drawing is to remove the possibility of making a wiring connection using slant line.
This is the example in fritzing beta that considered not following standards in wiring schematic.
Slant line must not be use and not allowed in international standards.
To improve this, there must be an added feature the lines are self-corrected and draws only vertical and horizontal line.
This is the example of wiring schematic that follows standards.
Mockups / Examples
Here is the sample process on how it works.
In current situation of fritzing beta, we can wire in different orientation or angles.
When suggestion will be implemented, there is a self-corrected feature that ensures to make a line horizontal or vertical. Instead of a line with different orientation, it only shows or allows to have vertical and horizontal line.
In that way, the schematic wiring automatically follows wiring standards.
This will be the complete sample wiring schematic.
