Hoping it doesn't end up like the promising Atlas comet (unfortunately split into two parts), another "iceberg" has arrived from the interstellar space which seems to promise a wonderful spectacle.
We are talking about the surprising SWAN comet, discovered by chance in April by an Australian amateur astronomer.

For now, however, it is located in the Pisces constellation (visible in the southern hemisphere), on May 13 it will reach the closest distance to Earth (perigee) and at the end of the month the closest to the sun.
In these days the amazing comet has "reached" the Canary Islands and is visible from there with the naked eye.
Towards the end of May and then in June, we too will be able to observe it in our skies: if it continues at this rate, the magnitude (which decreases as an object is gradually brighter) could reach 3, making SWAN a super comet that will illuminate the earth.

In the end we hope that our dear comet does not end up like dear Atlas. obviously it is well known that comets are unpredictable, we just have to admire them in their splendor.
