As I sit here and watch the Red Sox and Tigers play some Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN, I can't help but to wish that I was actually there. For me, there's nothing more relaxing than being around the game of baseball. Regardless of the level of play, nothing beats the feeling of being at the diamond watching people play America's pastime. Whether it be playing, coaching, umpiring, or just watching, there's just something about the atmosphere of the game and the people that play it that is matched my nothing else to me. I could sit for hours at the most rundown ballpark in the world and be 100% content with sitting and watching. As the movie Moneyball states, "How can you not be romantic about baseball"?
Now I know that not everybody is going to be "romantic" about baseball, but I really think that it's important for everyone to have something that they can turn to and use as a release from the pressures of the world.
