The Juggalo March was this past weekend. If you haven't heard about it it's not to surprising.
What is a Juggalo you ask? Depending on who you ask the answer will very. Some (in the family) may start spouting vulgar language at you in a friendly manner.
The true answer is that they are just a fan base of an obscure rap group based in Detroit. They are the same as Justin Beiber's Beliebers, Beyonce Beyhive, or the Kiss Army from back in the day. The only difference is that the FBI classified the "Juggalos" as a gang in 2011.
This reclassification is the whole reason of the Juggalo March. Over the past 6 years fans have been harassed by law inforcment, lost employment, had children taken by CPS, and the list goes on and on. The fans are not the only ones that have felt the effect of this. The band itself have ran into issues with merchandise sales, and concert venues canceling last minute.
So over the weekend Juggalos from all over the world descended on the Lincoln Memorial (The same place that Martin Luther King jr made his iconic I Have A Dream Speech.) in Washington DC to address their grievances against the FBI for violating their first amendment.
I am extremely thankful that i was able to attend, not only to help protect the first amendment, but more importantly to stand with my family.
WOOP WOOP!!!
