In my life it has happened time and time again that I went into something for the WRONG reasons. Needless to say, the result of this was total and utter failure...
Here's something I've since learned and observed:
If you go into something where the only thing you truly desire is the outcome, the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, you're setting yourself up for failure! If you don't like the PROCESS, you're most likely into the wrong activity for you.
For example:
Besides some form of genetics, what sets top athletes apart from those who don't make the cut is that they enjoy playing the game. Given the sheer amount of time and effort required to reach the top, those who just do it for the fame or money are unlikely to put in the same dedication as those who do.
Or think about Warren Buffet.
This guy is 92 and still going strong!
Why?
He loves the game of money, investing and business! Think about this, he's made enough money to last his family for a dozen generations! If he didn't enjoy what he does, do you think there's any chance he'd stil be going?
That's the secret of many successful people!
Reaching the top at anything in life is going to reuire hard work, dedication and patience. Most people who are only in it for the end result will have given up way before they reach the finish line.
Here's the great news:
Life is jam packed with options! For any goal, there are many ways of achieving it. For getting in shape, there are tons of diets and tons of exercises available. For business success, there are tons of types of businesses.
Find the option that works wfor YOU and that you truly enjoy!
Love the process, not just the outcome!
