I thought truckers would be interesting to listen to
they all complain
and seem to battle
what their afternoon will be
“ I am telling you I am not unloading this trip”
“ have him there for me”
Their lives are stressful
traffic is rude
they seem to all want to just
get to where they need to and get home
Eggs are served , pancakes
coffee
they eat
unaware as they talk
they connect easily
because they are all in the same place
moving and figuring it out
their stress is shared
they talk about it
I eat with thoughts about
what songs I am going to play
for those stuck and can’t move
