Common in the Northwest USA. They first appeared in 1974 after a meteorite struck near Mt. Shasta. Beautiful at night. Named for it's iridescent blue glow, the ice slug is quite dangerous. Touching the gelatinous creature causes pain of such intensity some victims have resorted to severing their own limbs to stop the pain, even though the venom's effects last no longer than 15 minutes. Extremely dangerous in swarms. Primary food source, mammals.
