The Zizkov TV tower is a prominent feature of Prague's skyline. Built in the 1980's it's beautifully futuristic and hideous at the same time. It's also not going anywhere, even if it looks like a rocket.

Prague is most likely the most common destination for tourists. This view of the Charles Bridge and Karlovy Lazne as seen from Manesuv Most might be something many visitors never get the chance to see.

Just behind the Czech National Bank main office in Prague is the wonderful Henry's Tower which was built in the 15th century. This tower, on the left, has a restaurant and a really excellent whisky bar.

Tonight I present a very rare photo from inside Prague's Invalidovna. It was a military veteran's hospital built in the 1730s. The building saw prolonged use as a hospital/veteran's home until the 1930s.

As I've said before, I'm not a fan of the new (1970s) construction of the main train station in Prague, but the Art Nouveau construction is breathtaking. During the First Republic this was named Wilson
