Greetings dear #TopFamily community
Today, in this Saturday of Observe, Think and Write, I came across an image that at first glance seems like something ordinary, something we see every day and often goes unnoticed, but when you stop and observe it carefully, you realize it has much more to say. A special thanks to Prof. @lanzjoseg for keeping this initiative alive, inviting us to see beyond what is obvious.
Because it is not just a tire with a nail, it is a story, it is a process, it is a reality that many of us know. It is that moment when life hits you, stops you for an instant, but also puts you in front of the decision of how to move forward. And that is where everything makes sense, because it is not always about changing everything, sometimes it is about repairing, adapting, and continuing to roll with what you have, and believe me, that is also part of life.

When you see that tire with a nail, the first thing that comes to mind is the problem, the puncture, the expense. But then, if you look at it calmly, you realize that there is a bigger story behind it. Because that tire was not born like that, new, clean, perfect; it went out to roll, to take on the road, to carry weight, heat, and distance. And like everything in life, at some point it got that hit, that nail that stopped it for a moment. And that is where it gets interesting, because not everything that gets damaged is thrown away; many times it is repaired and keeps going.
In my beloved #Venezuela, where every dollar counts and where reality forces you to think differently, that tire is not wasted. It goes straight to the tire shop, where the guy who knows his craft does not talk about replacing it, but about fixing it. There they invent, patch, and come up with solutions beyond the usual, because they know that many times that money is not enough for something new, and that food at home comes first. It is another way of seeing life, more practical, more fought for, where everything is used and nothing is wasted.
Here in my beloved #Argentina things change a bit. You go to a tire shop and the process is more direct, more standard, they put a regular patch, more technical, more structured. And that is fine, it is another reality, another way of doing things. But in the end, the goal is the same, that the tire goes back to rolling, that it continues fulfilling its purpose, that it does not stay stuck. And that, taken to life, is exactly the same, no matter the country, we all at some point need to repair something in order to keep moving forward.
And the most beautiful part of all this is that that tire, even when it has already fulfilled its useful life, does not disappear. It always stays somewhere, in some corner, in some tire shop, waiting. And one day someone arrives who needs it, who cannot afford a new one, and there it goes back to the road, maybe worn out, maybe patched up, but with the desire to keep rolling. And that is life itself, my brother, because all of us at some point have been that tire, hit, patched, but standing strong, with the desire to keep moving forward and take on the world no matter what.
And so, between roads, blows, and repairs, you come to understand that life is not always about being perfect, but about moving forward with who we are and what we have lived through.
Thanks to this beautiful #TopFamily community and to Prof. @lanzjoseg for this space that allows us to see beyond a simple image and connect with our own stories.
Now I ask you, at what moment in your life have you had to “put a patch” on something in order to keep going?
I’ll be reading you in the comments.
