Yeah, what about that? They are just renting their HP, is the same thing as renting HP on Hive Engine, but instead of paying with HIVE they accept Ecency points. That doesn't mean you are buying votes

We can't use Ecency points to buy votes, so it's not selling nor buying votes. We can only do 3 things with Ecency points: Transfer them. Like any other token. Use it to promote the post in the main/trending

Hi, why would it be considered vote selling? I completely agree that we shouldn't ask people to vote in the post to enter giveaways, and that's why I don't ask for it in mine, and ask for Ecency points.
