This is the next post at a place where we share analysis and opinions for interesting coins, tokens and pure gems in the vast landscape of the blockchain world. There's so many coins out there, but not a lot of free information (looking at you, paid groups) and analysis on them. The Scoop aims to change that by sharing and improving the data available for a given coin by focusing on evaluating instead of predicting.
It's a geocaching, AR-experience coin that makes exploration fun and profitable. New roadmap as of late and in the middle of a swap from their native blockchain to the UBQ chain, this will enable features like PoL (proof-of-location) as GEO can only be 'mined' physically in GPS type of way. After the swap, application launch is next and watch out! This one might just catch fire in 2018.
Roadmap

It's a Ubiq token, so one can store GEO in their UBQ wallet.
Whitepaper: TBD
CMC says ~3.4m circulating and a max supply of 4m.
Good question!
Tobler is the GeoCoin creator and weifa the lead developer, but there's not a lot of formal info we could find out there.

~14m cap and volume is hard to say during a swap, but varies in the hundreds of thousands typically.
Not a ton of competitors in this area, but let us know if you're aware of notables ones.
It's got that pokemon-go thing going for it, but you get coins instead of pokemon. Both are good, but only one lasts after the initial high.
Pros
Cons
Mobile app must be a priority now and it's release and usability is the most important thing to get right. For the project to be a success, it has to be fun and engaging and really get some network effect.
Also, more transparency about who the team behind the project is and their background would be great.
Bittrex has most the volume right now.

Based on the FA, GEO looks like a medium risk with high reward potential if they continue to deliver and catch on. Picking it up under 35k sats would be bargain or around $6 would be an upper entry while still expecting solid, crypto-style gains.
And that's your scoop!
