Well, I have been out of pocket for the past couple of days due first to the Independence Day holiday (actually due to cooking for it) and then Sunday. I started smoking the brisket I mentioned in my last post about 11:00 AM on Friday and it didn't finish cooking until about 8:00 AM the next morning. This caused me to sleep a good part of the day on Saturday, but it was worth it (the brisket was falling apart tender). I spent the time I was awake with my wife and daughter. We ate on the brisket through today and froze the rest (it's going to be good eats for several more meals).

Then, I had to get up early (by my standards, anyway) to produce and stream the worship service from my church on Sunday morning (don't worry...I was wearing my mask). The Media Ministry Director and his family (most of the video team) were out on vacation, so I had to run the video booth (normally manned by three to four people) by myself. Since I normally work in the AV industry (when I am not furloughed), I am familiar with working multiple stations at once. We have a term for it...octo-operator. All things considered, it went well.

It was a busy weekend, but a blessing, as well.

Here is my totals as of today:

As you can see, my CTP Power is climbing quicker than I anticipated. This is mostly due to my participation is a few
prize drawing and having a couple of winning entries. While the CTP community is very supportive, I do not expect this rate if increase to continue at this pace. However, since I am already a quarter of the way there, I do not see any reason to this this is not a reachable goal.

Also, it seems I have been adding about a follower a day. If I can maintain that rate, in the 178 days remaining this year, I should be able to reach that goal, as well.

The goal I am most concerned about is the HIVE Power. Not only is it growing the slowest, but it is the area in which I have the least reach. I am hoping as I engage in the family history area, this will help that circle of influence grow faster.

Writing their story is a wonderful way to memorialize the military veterans in your family. Let us never forget.

@fedoraonmyhead - "Eulogy for My Grandfather" is the poignant telling of the effect his grandfather had on his life and the author's memories of spending time together. Stories like this are priceless.

@lisagenaille - "Great Grandfather" is a short tribute to the author's grandfather. It doesn't take much to immortalize someone on the blockchain forever.
