too old? really? I had been decades for me, but in my days (sixties), it was a sailor hang-out and chicks displaying themselves in windows. This looks 'cleaned up' - I remember also when I lived in Canada later on, that on repeat visits to Vancouver's Gastown, much had changed over time, until none of the old, gritty atmosphere remained and turned into a fake, generic mish-mash. Even the genuine gas lanterns that gave it the name were replaced with imitation electric lighting. Well, I digress. I also remember the 'Red Light' districts of Vienna from way back when. Some streets were well known, even in the downtown area (Annagasse) and Leopoldstadt (Novaragasse) and all along the Gürtel. Don't ask why I know all that (from experience, lol).
