The Steps

progress - charcoal - imprimatura and then white highlights started

progress - charcoal - imprimatura and glazes, yellow and blue, with white highlights in between, each step separated with a clear-coat glazing medium

the final image then received some local color and some highlight fine-tuning
and a touch of gold
