Hello Steemians :)
I'll go by Prospero here on Steemit, though you can reach me by @therightduke. I've located myself on "An Island in the Mediterranean" because (for all of you who haven't read Shakespeare's The Tempest) Prospero is the rightful Duke of Milan who's cast out into the Mediterranean Sea by his usurping younger brother, ultimately to wash up on a remote island. In reality, I'm not on an Island in the Sea. Though perhaps one day Steemit may make it possible for me, and everyone else who'd like to, to be.
Though I'm new to Steemit I believe it has the potential to support and promote adventurous lifestyles. By submitting adventures, showcasing photos, detailing routes, and providing experienced tips adventurers are exciting and encouraging Steemit readers to take similar adventures of their own. For example, reader's can find firsthand experience trip advice for their upcoming international adventure in @world-travel-pro's posts. It appears that
@heyitshaas is soon to following suit. Or readers can delight in the photos shared by
@unipsycho and
@casperbd. In turn, reader's likes support the lifestyles of the adventures. But enough theorizing. Let's practice this and make it happen! I've already done such in my first post: https://steemit.com/adventure/@therightduke/bikepacking-overnighter.
Finally, as this is my introductory post I feel I owe the presentation of some details of myself. I'm 22. I'm a philosophy undergraduate. (Disclaimer: I will be posting philosophy papers.) I'm a bicycle shop manager. I'm a bicycle group ride leader. I'm a rock climbing gym route setter. I'm an English as a Second Language volunteer teacher. I'm a bikepacker, rock climber, back-country skier, trail runner, river runner. I'm a Steemian.
Thanks for reading!
