Good job on this article. I would like to say something about inflation as I used to work on measuring inflation, not CPI, but PPI which is producer inflation. M2, the money supply is an indirect measure of inflation as inflation is also dependent on both production and spending. The rising liquidity in the market has led to inflation in the financial markets and you see this in the rise of almost every investment class such as debt, equity, currencies, real estate, etc.

I am not sure if this will lead to real inflation when it comes to the purchasing power of normal everyday goods. It might. I am hedging against it as well by moving away from cash, so I am worried about inflation too. However, the history of European and Asian economies seem to point in a gradual trend of long term disinflation. As long production growth exceeds the rate at which we "print" cash then inflation will stay at bay when it comes to regular everyday items.

The other thing to take into account is not only the size of the money supply, but the velocity at which the money supply "turns". As wealth gets concentrated in the hands of the rich and the rich decides to HODL wealth then the velocity will slow and that is often why the Fed injecting cash doesn't always work for kickstarting the economy for normal people. This is what you saw in the 2008 financial crisis and this is part of the reason why the job market could be slow to recover even after the vaccine is fully deployed. We will see what fiscal policy looks like in the next couple of years.

Most Cryptos have trended towards inflation and even hyperinflation. I do think the Cryptos that you have highlighted in your post are sound. I think you have done a good job of identifying the better ones. I think Polkadot and Chainlink are sound platforms that do a good job of providing utility and that is good for the demand side. As long as they get the supply side right then they will good investments.
