I did a MAD magazine style spoof when I was a kid; I'd heard of marijuana, and I knew it was a bad thing according to the TV, so I drew a little caricature of Herb Alpert for an album cover. The band was Herb Alpert and the Marijuana Brass (real name was 'Tiajuana Brass' but I still can't spell Tiajuana). So I'd heard of marijuana, and to make it funny, I depicted Herb drinking a bottle of marijuana. My parents didn't bother to tell me that marijuana was not usually in a bottle like liquor, and I don't think they laughed at my spoof drawing. I never saw that drawing again. It would be years before I figured out what weed really was.
