Obviamente he estado paseando por Bogotá y conociendo sitios interesantes para pasar el rato. Diría que he conocido bastante del lugar donde vivo (Kennedy) y comienzo a preocuparme menos por perderme en algún momento haha.

Este viaje me hizo recuperar mis ganas de tomar fotografías de nuevo ya que aquí me siento mucho más seguro y siento que hay muchísimas más cosas que fotografiar. Incluso me animé a tomar fotos familiares que, en mi opinión, quedaron bastante genial XD, pero eso lo dejaré para otro post :P

Los centros comerciales aquí son bastante hermosos, aunque en comparación a Margarita, la cantidad de gente es simplemente abismal. No sé si es por la temporada navideña, pero caminar por el centro comercial era encontrarse con montones y montones de personas, cosa que en Margarita no ocurría. Me hace pensar que en esta ciudad hay muchísima más vida que de donde vengo.

Antes de llegar al centro comercial hay un puente que cruza por encima de la avenida y la verdad es que la vista es bastante bonita. No pude tirar una mejor foto ya que estábamos dirigiéndonos a hacer mercado y se nos estaba haciendo tarde, así que íbamos con prisa. Estoy volviendo a agarrar el hilo con Lightroom, creo que me emocioné un poco con la edición de estas últimas fotos, pero a mí me gustan bastante y eso es suficiente para mí.

Otra cosa que estoy amando bastante son los parques aquí. Hay MUCHÍSIMA vida dentro de ellos, puedes ver personas sentadas hablando, otras simplemente columpiándose, u otras solamente atendiendo sus negocios. Pero la cantidad de personas que hay es bastante increíble a pesar de que casi era medianoche en el momento que estuve en el parque. Que hayan bastantes personas da bastante sensación de seguridad y es otra demostración de la diferencia del estilo de vida de las personas.

Algo que noté es que cada barrio (un barrio aquí es básicamente un complejo de casas) tiene un parque. Es realmente genial porque no tenemos que caminar bastante para ir a un parque en específico y relajarnos allí, en realidad, diría que cada 2-3 cuadras encontrarás un parque sí o sí. Lo mejor de esto es que siempre encontrarás personas haciendo cualquier actividad allí, incluso algunas solamente se quedan a fumar marijuana o cosas por el estilo y no hay problema alguno (es lo que me han dicho mis familiares aquí).

Bogotá es aún más grande, pero gracias a que vivimos en un lugar céntrico, no hace falta alejarnos mucho de donde vivimos para comprar lo que necesitamos. Tenemos muchísimas tiendas cercanas que nos dan todo lo que necesitamos, es realmente un lugar genial.

Obviously I've been walking around Bogota and seeing interesting places to hang out. I'd say I've gotten to know quite a bit about where I live (Kennedy) and I'm starting to worry less about getting lost at some point haha.

This trip made me feel like taking pictures again because here I feel much safer and I feel that there are many more things to photograph. I even encouraged myself to take family pictures which, in my opinion, were pretty cool XD, but I'll leave that for another post :P

The malls here are quite beautiful, although compared to Margarita, the amount of people is simply abysmal. I don't know if it's because of the Christmas season, but walking through the mall was to find lots and lots of people, something that didn't happen in Margarita. It makes me think that in this city there is much more life than where I come from.

Before reaching the mall there is a bridge that crosses over the avenue and the truth is that the view is quite nice. I couldn't take a better picture as we were heading to the market and it was getting late, so we were in a hurry. I'm getting the hang of Lightroom again, I think I got a little excited with the editing of these last photos, but I like them well enough and that's good enough for me.

Another thing I'm really loving are the parks here. There is SO MUCH life inside them, you can see people sitting around talking, others just swinging, or others just going about their business. But the amount of people there is pretty incredible even though it was almost midnight at the time I was in the park. That there are quite a few people gives quite a sense of security and is another demonstration of the difference in people's lifestyles.

One thing I noticed is that every neighborhood (a neighborhood here is basically a complex of houses) has a park. It's really cool because we don't have to walk quite a bit to go to a specific park and relax there, actually, I would say that every 2-3 blocks you will find a park yes or yes. The best thing about it is that you will always find people doing any activity there, even some just hang out to smoke marijuana or stuff like that and it's not a problem at all (that's what my relatives here have told me).

Bogota is even bigger, but because we live in a central location, we don't have to go far from where we live to buy what we need. We have so many stores nearby that give us everything we need, it's really a great place.
