I actually caught a bus - yes public transport - to get between Mount Barker and Adelaide CBD and it was such fun! I went to the park n ride in Mount Barker and was the first passenger on the bus so I took advantage of being upstairs on the double-decker! I have to say that it was excellent even if a bit weird to be in the trees and able to see over fences!

By the time we reached Adelaide after 50 minutes, there were about 20 passengers in total. I enjoyed the view and here are a few images I took to illustrate the beauty and fun of the journey.

The bus station in Mt Barker is well decked out with bus shelters, clear signage and it even has lockers for bikes! Today it was empty and I mean completely empty of passengers! Perhaps it’s due to the Covid style lockdown you have when you’re not actually locked down!

Once in Adelaide I walked through the pedestrian mall (known as Rundle Mall) which wasn’t as crowded as usual and then I looked for the Avis car rental shop.

After paying over a bit I now have wheels!! And as soon as I have wheels I had to have a coffee so I headed to the cafe where I knew I could charge my phone and access free internet. That’s the key to a good life these days isn’t it!?!
