The problems facing our world are generally presented in a highly depressing manner

You know that narrative - we all do. "Blah blah environmental devastation, starvation and obesity, rampant corruption, etc." It is common knowledge now - we were all born into a dying world. But that doesn't have to be such a bummer.

Have your ever just sat down and thought about how strange is it that humanity is literally destroying the world? That our actions could bring about the destruction of civilization and possibly our entire species? It is strange, yet it is also quite amazing!

Each of us, as part of the whole, has the ability to destroy this planet. What tremendous power! Sure - there are things they told us we can do to help "save the planet," like turn your water off while you brush your teeth or recycling. And not to minimize those things, but the small actions of a few are not going to "save the planet."
