There's 2 key issues to cover:
1.) Looking at the data.
2.) Looking at what the authors say (interpretation).
As noted in my article, the actual data of their studies shows inefficacy of the masks most people are using (cloth/surgical/vented). The ability for people to use proper hygiene in combination with these weak masks is more than difficult, it is practically impossible. (And the CDC in their recommendations even tells people to NOT use N95s. Look at the graphic and link.)
Further, the authors of the studies above say to "wear masks" in the articles not because of great efficacy, but because they are a.) trying to stay published b.) keeping up the "air of caution."
The results of the studies show clearly that the mask materials people typically use and hygiene people typically practice DOES NOT WORK. In fact, this is specifically noted in the studies I put in there for say, the surgical mask.
