From the very beginning the concept of feminism was meaningless to me because the women in my family were not weak people. In no way were they second class citizens.

I'm from a family of 13 children... 6 sisters.

All the women in my family are strong women. I never understood the victim mentality of today's "feminist" movement.

Even during my teen years, I had that role as my sister was ill and my mother was with her at the hospital.

We all had assigned chores to do around the house. I think this is an important difference between today's children and yesteryear's. The value of work is lost on many of the younger generations. Perhaps required work instituted by the family helps in avoiding the victim mentality in later life.
