It is then, when the eagle has to make a decision and has only two alternatives: letting himself die, or face a painful process of renewal that will last about a hundred and fifty days.
This process consists of flying to the top of a mountain and taking refuge in a nest next to a wall, where it does not need to fly. Then, the refugee eagle will begin to strike its beak against the wall until it is able to pluck it. Once amputated, you will have to wait until a new peak is born with which, afterwards, you will have to tear off your old nails.
When the new nails begin to be born, it will be time to get rid of their old feathers by plucking them with their new beak. After five very hard months, the golden eagle will be victorious executing its famous renewal flight and then will have 30 more years of life.
Throughout our lives we have similar situations. Have you ever thought that you have given everything you could in your work, family, friends ...? As if you had already exhausted all your creativity and you do not have much more to contribute.
There are moments where we find ourselves weak, exhausted, discouraged ... We are at a point where, or we renew ourselves like eagles or we will go from bad to worse.
This transformation is not free. It will require us to stop, to stop along the way, to reflect, to do an introspection and thus, to know which are the picks, feathers and nails from which we must detach ourselves.
Each one can easily identify them in their lives: they are those attitudes, vices and customs that prevent us from changing, that tie us to the past, to mediocrity to the lack of courage to start the fight.
It can also be resentments, complex, low or high self-esteem, that cloud our sight and the ability to be objective with ourselves. We must get rid of customs, traditions and memories that cause us pain. Only free from the weight of the past can we take advantage of the valuable result that a renovation always brings.
