The Biscione symbol of Milan is a symbol used by many of the most powerful families / houses in Italy and has generations of direct links, including archbishops, to Rome. It features on shields, in old artwork and stonework, as well as being the symbol of Alfa Romeo (Rome first) the well known car brand. But little is known about symbols history which even to this day is a mystery. The symbol of the snake used in such a direct way is strange considering that the Pope’s Audience Hall also has strong snake symbolism in its architecture. I go into this as well as some other things in this video – thank you all for your support!
