I think the lying right at the top, is perfected alright. They would all win the lying Olympics, which it seems politics is. Most of them have no doubt been training all their lives to end up where they are.

About the three counties, you are right about that. If you don't have central bank, then there is a big target on your back - about AI imagery wrecking havoc on our minds, I never thought about that. It is very interesting. I honestly never thought about what the effect would be if we were surrounded by an uncanny valley in everything - things look real, but our mind knows they are not - it probably would make as feel even more isolated, as if we are in a place that is not right somehow. With time, there is no doubt the amount of it would vastly magnify to everything. Combine this with our fading ability to sit and spend time concertinaing in depth in a topic, and you really do get something that looks really bad.

I agree about the wild heart of life. the mouse utopia experiment showed, when you unwind this, and take away all the wild things from the mouse, it dies. It does not matter how much food and safety you give it, or breed opportunities. I think humans are the same. You remove all those little things, that modern society deems useless, then we start dying as a species. The only difference is, we are having it done to us by design. They have, to take the x-files reference, the hammer and the magic.
