About being a traditionalist - nothing wrong with that if the past is useful and you believe it has good things. There are no doubt a lot of problems etc., but we do what we must, when we can. We take our best guess, and wait and hope.

About mining Psyche - in the far distant future I could see this, if there were communities surviving in space - of course, there is an exponential growth curve, in regarding autonomous drones - driven by AI - if they can mine the minerals etc., elements to build themselves and factories - then in just this solar system there is enough to just keep on building - you could have AI swarms crossing the universe with human bio ships in the middle of them - this would be something I could see making use of asteroids or planets to harvest - as the mass goes from one system to the next getting larger until they are setting up communities around suns - like dyson spheres - anyway - that would be what I would just imagine something like - but with the current structure, of our world - I don't see that happening anytime unless the cancer is removed by the miles of rope. If you get my meaning. Maybe the best way to do this - would be strangely enough CRISPR - like some type of virus that edits out the psychopath gene - gets rid of them in all one fell swoop. I don't even know what the consequences of that would be - it might even be really bad because it causes unforeseen consequences.

About space travel in gen - I think people are overly optimistic about space travel myself. AI could do it as you say - but I don't think people in their current form would go on any real long journey - maybe Elon and his friends to Mars, but that is really just show pony proof of concept stuff - I think for any real journey to the stars - It would look more like a bunch of DNA in a jar I think - whereby the probe goes through the universe looking for earth-like planets - or maybe an AI hive probe storm like I said prior - and then just grows the person on the planet - some people say, that is what happened to us and that humans are from a faraway star system and maybe far older. also with this system you could bring all animals, insects / plants etc,, and everything with you - although if you go with that theory I heard that what they do is insert animals first and then once the animals acclimatise, they blend our DNA with them - to help with human acclimatisation. Although in each iteration we look slightly different every time. I think we will subcontract out everything with artificial intelligence. Maybe if that is what happened to us - UFOs are just part of this - if they are real they seem to be slowly engineering us towards something.
