It is interesting to see where the Ye thing will go. His last album a few months ago apparently broke all records—even with mass censorship. He has a lot of influence.

About being underemployed—it's the same here in New Zealand. You get a kind of top-up so you can make ends meet. It's something you have to keep applying for, and you have to keep reporting how much you earn. It seems, though, that maybe things in the government are different—or maybe it's the same here as well.

About the non-profit—they’ve been talking about pesticides, but there is little movement on reducing their effects or use, at least in New Zealand. In fact, my guess is they would find the report encouraging: if they spray more, they can kill more bees. If they got rid of the bees, they could really control the food supply. We would be dependent on artificial pollinators—robots or hand-pollination—for large crops. It would be goodbye to the backyard vegetable garden. Of course, here in New Zealand, they have something even more extreme than chemical bee genocide—they just burn the hives with flamethrowers.

About your computer—mine is a lot slower than yours, with less video RAM as well. I can only run low-end 6B LLMs, nothing faster. But I can see that a lot of the pieces are coming together to help make people much more creative. Instead of comic books being the only domain for storytellers/artists to break through, they’ll soon have access to moving images and movies. This has always been an area out of reach for small creatives because of the costs, but things are quickly moving toward zero. So I expect that once the tech becomes truly useful, we’ll see a wave of new storytelling.
