About the OF AI—that's a perfect example you laid out of how AI will take away such pathological opportunities, but it will also stop the predator cycle that forces women into such situations. It's a major win. And there are so many more of these issues coming—our society is full of things that cause widespread damage, both to individuals and the greater system.
Eventually, though, I think men (mostly) will just have these systems baked into their OS. It could be powerful, but I don't know if it's a good thing. Still, you can see the trajectory— a local system would know everything you watch or are interested in without leaking personal data, and it could form a companion that you could spend time with. How you want that to be would be up to you. It could be like OF, or it could be a true companion you just talk with. There are a lot of lonely people out there. I’ve seen in nursing homes that they use fake cats for people to nurse—stuffed animals that help. They've linked the lack of conversation in people with early mental health degradation. I think there's a wide spectrum of opportunities coming that will benefit society.
About IQ—I was shocked to learn that the average age of people in the Congo is like 64, as well as in many other countries. In fact, a lot of the world is under 80. link: https://www.worlddata.info/iq-by-country.php
The problem is that, in the author’s view, where much of the labor is—assuming the dream of robotic automation is utopian—there will be no jobs for someone with an IQ of 64.
I don't know how true the chart is. I would imagine someone with an IQ of 64 would find it hard to drive a car. There are things that don’t quite make sense. But that’s what the data says, and it’s eye-opening.
Thanks!
