About crypto - your right, its all controlled - maybe if we survive the apocalypse the new system that takes place will learn from the mistakes of the place - make a decentralised cypto network ontop of a radio backbone - like an array of ham radios using radio modems - I know there are apps that let you communicate with other phones by Bluetooth - not ideal, but maybe that could be a decentralised front end for exchanging crypto - of course we would have to wait till after the nukes to go off to try that one. Because no one is going to try that otherwise.

I very much agree about "The truth causes them suffering" - and humans are adverse to suffering - about being surprised about the Pastor- yes, me as well. I remember back then explaining to someone clearly that I was shocked that they went from "We don't torture, because is wrong" to "guys, now torture is good" so fast after 911. I remember people looking at me and then talking about how it was "not torture" it was "enhanced interrogation" - I could not believe back then how something can be shaped into something else so easily. That must go down in some manual somewhere how to reshape reality to people. But they have learned so much - changing meaning by renaming - now they use it daily for everything. Now of course, it is out of control in ways I could not even imagine back then.

About South Africa, yes I have been watching what has been going on there a long time. It is now, the worst I have seen it - about the "kill the Boer" - that NYT really was the icing on the cake that it is now impossible for them to condemn the making of genocide. That is evil. And I wish I could say I am hopeful about South Africa, but with no international condemnation at all - and the bold nature of the calling for open bloodshed - this is a time-bomb waiting to happen. Like you said - there will be chaos, then the wolves will be in the hen-house deeper than ever before and taking those very valuable minerals.
