Yes, free and open source software is the way to go alright - I am really enjoying that Alpaca Electron - its great - I have the 7b version just because my computer is slow, so the other higher ones are a problem for now - but hopefully all the open source AIs just keep on getting better - although I do see the EU has put out some roadblocks with new laws etc., which are aimed at the open source community -

I can imagine a great future for open source AI - I also am very hopeful now that AI is moving into "3d modelling" and stuff where you might be able to very soon, show it a picture and it can fully model it in 3d for a printer - something complex out in parts - like things for a mini greenhouse, plus all the software to run a self sufficient system -- once the barrier to entry to food production changes, and you can just have a AI make and manage a complex auto run food system - then that is real change - like you said, means of production - but I am excited about fully autonomous food production - this could include a fish farm as well, and things of that nature - the sky is the limit - this could of course lead to massive increases in food production and drive prices to zero locking out the key way that they control people - having to work so many hours to feed yourself and your family etc., -

I also take your point about JFK Jr, I did not think about it like that - yes, would be good to show he is widely read - I knew that about ducks, maybe in the long run it makes him look like his own man which is a good thing -
