Yes the is a huge increase over there alright - they want to push people towards "pre pay metres" also, a "pay as you go model" - but you are right about a need to be able to produce our own energy - everyone needs to do that -on my house bus I have full energy independence (800 Watts of solar panels) - but you need the sun - however, if you have a good solar array, you could store enough power for a long time if you have the battery bank - and a large solar array could do that with a likewise bank - plus, you can offset most living costs in winter heating/cooking with burning wood. I grew up with a wood store in the living room, we cooked on it and all sorts. We used to run a firewood business - I guess this might be a problem for some people though, who can't get any access to firewood in winter - or cheaper gas, for gas stoves etc., either way I fully agree that everyone needs to get off dependence from these vampires who run things. They have destroyed their own people's lives - on purpose everywhere -
