I'm not impacted myself, as I don't smoke cigarettes anymore - I moved to vaping about five years ago - before that I smoked for about six month - and before that had quite for like 10 years - at the moment I don't vape at all, as I stopped about a week or two ago - it was not as hard as quieting smoking - although I think the side effects of vaping are strangely worse - but that is just I think because there was a limit to how much I could smoke in terms of cigarettes - I could smoke about 15/20 per day, beyond that I would feel sick - with vaping I could smoke all day long one after another - so I think I was near overdosing myself with nicotine etc., I would feel numb and my eyesight would be bad, from too much vaping - also there are other problems as well - the price of smoking in new zealand is very high - when I was overseas, a packet of smokes back in 2017 was about $4 US or something - here in new zealand that same packet would be about 30 New Zealand dollars - which is about 17 or something US - so I could never afford to smoke, as most new Zealanders could not afford it - a lot of smokers I know, where forced to breaking up their cigarette buts in their ashtrays in order to keep going - about google song, yeah, it was a catchy one haha!
