We also have some festivals almost every month and people celebrate them with great pomp. On these festivals people wear new clothes and decorate the house.
Whenever there is a festival in our country, women and girls like to apply mehndi on their hands.
We had Rakhi festival here yesterday and people in India celebrate this festival with great pomp. This festival is celebrated to mark the unbreakable and sacred bond between brothers and sisters. On this day all sisters tie rakhi on their brothers' wrists, apply tilak to them and feed them sweets and instead of tying rakhi, brothers promise them that they will always protect them.
