Friday Thanksgiving Post

Coming today from the hills to the city, I noticed that nature is changing. Despite the returning frosts, everything around, the earth, the trees, even the houses have already prepared for the spring awakening. Crucial moment has come.

Not only nature is changing. This week on the Hive was quite busy for me. I try to post every day even though I didn't plan on doing so. So why I do it? Because I started getting feedback, inspiration and motivation. Why did this happen? The answer was on the surface…

Many experienced people here make very useful guides for beginners, talking about the features of the platform. And almost each of them mentions the usefulness of communities. To be honest, I ignored this point a bit.

I don't know why, maybe it's something from the depths of the subconscious. For example, I am not used to being in the "crowd". Or I consider myself not worthy of being part of the community because my content doesn't correspond to the topic. Or my English is too bad for all that things. Or I think that my content is worse than others. There were reasons. Subjective, but they were.

I finally thought, just try it, you won't lose anything. And that was a shock to me. My first post in the Photography Lovers community was noticed. I think those who have gone a certain way on this platform will remember what feelings they experienced after receiving their first significant feedback. It's indescribable, like the first kiss 😊

Communities work.

What is the core of the community, its atoms? People. Curators, developers, authors, readers. I would like to talk to many of you, to respond to your creativity, as you responded to mine. But my RC is still limited. Therefore, I take the liberty of expressing my gratitude to you in this post. Because it's important to say «thanks».

@borjan, thank you for noticed and reblogged me. You gave me confidence in myself. It was quite unexpected. You are laconic in the comments, but your posts are very eloquent and diverse, and take me to the opposite world. Most importantly, you support many authors here, regardless of their status.

@redheadpei, the north-lady definitely gave me a feeling of kinship right away. Lover to participate in many competitions. You encouraged me to try it too. I wish you to win in every competition, you deserve it! Thank you for your cozy comments and booster.

@ksteem, I'm watching you, even though you have a gun… Your pictures and videos are very natural. Shooting with a drone is something unimaginable. The vastness of Vermont from a bird's-eye view is breathtaking. And of course Betty is just a cutie.

@castleberry, I'm a little crazy about everything you do. I mean it's too much for an ordinary mortal. Maybe your secret is Texas temperament and you're charging from the sun. Cuz we in the north are too lazy for so many tasks. Thank you for all the projects you are doing, they give people the opportunity to see and show. I wish you to have enough strength and energy for all this, and for your personal plans.

@tattoodjay, your work is professional, you are a master of your craft, there is a lot to learn for me. You do what you love, and love what you do, as is @borjan. I envy you both kindly. Thanks again for the Wednesday walk idea. You reminded everyone how easy and interesting it is to take pictures of our lives.

@ninahaskin, you are very nice and courteous. Your blog is a bright and sunny corner of free and light expression. I can't help but smile, looking at your avatar, very disposes. Thanks to you, I saw that participating in contests is fun, not just a competition.

@riverflows, you are strict but fair. The lesson of the sea lion is learned. I couldn’t resist, overcome 13.000 km, I don't regret it. Shame will never go anywhere...
What struck me the most was that you spent quite a lot of time on my blog, viewed and commented on several of my posts. But just yesterday you wrote on your blog that you are getting ready for a long trip, and you don't even know how to do everything. I'm amazed, it means a lot to me, you gave me a lot of time, which you don't have much. Thank you.

And slightly strange thanks to the platforms @ecency, @peakd and @hivebuzz. Due to the limited resource, I can't respond to your auto-comments thank you, and probably it may look strange to respond to auto-service. But if think about it, there are real people behind these accounts and bots. They gave their time, effort, money and most importantly invested and continue to invest a part of themselves to make this place comfortable, lively and diverse. Thank you.

Of course, thanks to many, many more users, whom I didn't mention. Big and small, active and not so active, reading and writing. The Hive is you. You create a place where people can share. Share with each other, share with the community, share with the world, even with yourself.

I understand that my weight here will not have the same effect on you that you have on me. Reblog or a vote from me will not bring you rewards or subscribers. For now. I hope this will change over time. I hope over time, like you, I will be able to help those who have just started their journey here.

My grandma says that in the north- the stronger the frost, the warmer the people. This means that people tend to help each other. Probably, you should not forget about this here, if you feel the cold of loneliness and invisibility, try to find yourself in the community. Local communities are filled with the warmth of people. Be together.
