Last night I was playing rec league hockey and might have got a little into it when I was trying to block the opposing left wing on a shot I forgot to cover my face and tipped the puck up off my stick. This resulted in a full blown slap shot from 8 feet away straight to my jaw. Craaaaack, that's all I heard before I hit the ground and I hit it hard. It came so fast I didn't even know what happened. Finally after going back to the dressing room and more less cleaning up my dignity I went on the finish the game scoring two goals and almost a hat trick. Here's where it get interesting with something I didn't know until last night. In the dressing room at the end of the game our Captain was like Dude your nose is bleeding everywhere my face was completely numb at the point. I went to the papertowel and blew it. Biggest mistake I have made, I literally watched a 2 inch ball of blood climb my face to my eyelid and I had an instant black eye and could no longer open it. I guess this is an issue that boxer's and fighters have all the time but had no idea. needless to say I bought a visor first thing this morning
