It's not uncommon these days to have a parent M.I.A, should you look for him/her or if found should you try to contact them?
My Story
It's not hard to find somebody in today's world, with the internet of all things.
I used social media to track down my father about 8 years ago on hes ex wife's Facebook profile as he had changed his last name, he boosted shortly after i was born with reasons unknown.
Through this avenue i also found an older half-brother and an uncle that i didn't know i had.
I decided to initiate contact with my sibling as i thought at the time he would be the best insight into why dad left, i didn't think he would even know about me. Well he did, promising a meetup in Sydney and any future contact via e-mail.
That was a long time ago and i never got replies, i just recently i did an ABN lookup on my uncle's guitar manufacturing company in Canberra and records in Australia show companies/sole-traders related. I found dad, his address, phone number and ABN.
Should i progress further or is it time to let it go?
The way i see it, he was just a sperm-doner and i wont be at his funeral.
I did well raising myself, despite growing up in a chaotic childhood and adolescence.

So today i say no to you father, as you have said no to me.
These chains i am bound no longer, my soul to be set free.
Where do i go from now?
I'm going to live life to the fullest, taking the good with the bad.
Stop thinking about how things could have been or should be.
Write more.
