I think the answer is actually at the smallest level of the individual, and society should be structured bottom-up, not top-down. I am a voluntarist that believes everyone should have the right to self-determination, and society should be rooted in consent, not coercion.
that being said, i believe Donbass deserves the right to self-determination on its level, and sovereignty on the microcosm is always preferable to forced assimilation or retention on the macrocosm. If the people of Donbass wants to be a part of Russia, not Ukraine, let them.
