Got an email from Trezor that they found the first exactly clone of their product by an unknown seller. It was not disclosed if anyone lost money or if they are malicious (they likely are).
The one with the black hologram is the fake one. While faking the packaging has been done for a long time, it is only recently an exact clone of the hardware was found in the wild. No further details on the device itself have been released.
If you are looking for a Trezor or a Ledger (I recommend Trezor) make sure you buy direct and don't try to save a few bucks buying from a third party.
Regardless of what device you choose, make sure you are the one who initializes the seed words, if you receive it with seed words already defined, do not use it and report it immediately. Part of the process of ensuring you are secure is the initialization process.
