There's a lot of craziness coming to the markets. Wait, it's already here.
Yesterday the markets were up because of a 25 point rate cut from the Fed and the end of Quantitative Tightening. Then they were down because Fed chief Powell indicated The Fed might raise rates again. Then Powell backtracked those comments by saying they would only raise rates if the market expansion could support it... and the markets went back up a bit.
Today was more of the same confusion. The markets were heading up until Trump added 10% tariffs to more goods from China. Can you tell from the chart below when that announcement was made?
Sooner or later the liquidity is going to dry up and there's going to be a line of accounts waiting to sell to the very limited number of buyers. Where will your money be when that happens?
