yesterday i set out on an aimless walk around ancona,,, but not quite aimless as the idea was to venture in a direction i had never been.
below is a vista i was privvy to for the very first time.

i cannot resist grafitti as anyone who has followed me will know.... this wall was rather the worst for wear. i came across it in a rather derelict part of town...
dire straits - romeo and juliet
in the morning it was overcast and cool with a storm on the way. having pedalled for half an hour to get to our 'local' swimming pool.... the adriatic ocean we were never not going to swim. the sea was very rough by italy standards (mild by south africa coastline standards)
so we ended up having the ocean to ourselves ....
