We have a very calm garden with many trees. For years we have been feeding the wild birds every day and this has led to us having 'generations' of birds which have been born in this garden and remain here. Safe (no cats as we have a beeeeeeg dog), food and water daily and plenty trees and garden to 'play' in.
Not a day goes by that there is not a new egg shell on the ground.... meaning another baby bird somewhere

Even in the carport where I have my workbench ... a pair of doves are raising their family on top of the light casing !!
A pleasant surprise was to find a baby Olive Thrush in the garden ... the parents only having moved in a year ago.
