Monomad Challenge - Illusions and Halo

After visiting @rossfletcher 's blog I came across the #monomad challenge. Now I actually love black and white photography but have not done very much to date, mostly because I felt my camera was not up to scratch (do not ask me why !! sounds like an excuse ... right?)

Well I decided to give it a shot .... first on a simple object at home and then by digging through my travel photo's where I recall having played around with black and white exposure.

What am I?
